Of the many promised collaborations with renowned international artistes by Oscar-Grammy winner A.R Rahman, the first one is set to release in June this year.
Gems - the duet collection, by American music icon Michael Bolton features a melody by Rahman and includes musical collaborations with global pop superstar, Seal, Australian singing sensation, Delta Goodrem and famed late vocalist Eva Cassidy.
'When I first met Michael, we got talking about music, philosophy, the universe, and many things that we had in common,' Rahman recounts.
'I wanted Michael to do a bit of singing that he's never done before, without compromising on his musicality,' he adds
The new album, to be released on June 21 on Sony music, will feature productions by acclaimed songwriters, producers and musicians including David Foster, Dann Huff, Rudy Perez, besides A.R Rahman.
