Scarf a Graceful Fashion


A piece of colorful silk cloth adds grace and charm to the personality of a woman. It not only protects her hair from dust and scorching heat but also provides warmth to the neck. It was first the ancient Romans who started its use. Thanks to them. They used it to clean their sweat on the neck and face. Later on women also started using scarves but it was made of silk. Then women in other parts of world used scarves for different purposes. Catholic nuns use it and it is a sign of sanctity for them. Muslim woman wear it to hide her face from other men so that she might not be recognized by unknown persons. Scarf has become a symbol of modesty, class, style and an important part of fashion accessory. In West Indies and South Africa, women wear scarf as head wrap. Scouts use scarf to show their distinction and seniority from others. It is also a part of academic uniforms to make distinctions among many academies. Some famous Celebes such as Grace Kelly and Greta Garbo have used scarf. Scarves are available in many designs, colors and stuffs e.g. silk, cotton, wool, rayon and synthetic nylons. In your wardrobe you must have scarves of different designs and colors to use them according to the nature of ceremony.
