Brooks Run Happy « Everybody Loves Raymund

It's been a while since I wrote a blog entry. It has also been a while since I joined an organized race. My runs lately are either 5k to 10k at night after work. Also, with this tropical heat, waking up to run in the morning seems more like punishment than pleasure.

Perhaps this May is a good chance to get back into road racing.

I signed up for the 15k category. The route is familiar as it goes through BGC up to the Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. (Buendia). A moderate challenge considering the ascent on the Kalayaan flyover. After descending, the turnaround is just before Makati Ave.

Brooks Run Happy launches the brand as a player in the Philippine running scene. Though they have been distributed and sold as early as two years ago, this race is the biggest event they have so far.

There are several race categories to choose from: 3k, 5k, 10k and 15k.
