So just partition in Windows, format one partition in NTFS, leave the other one as unallocated space and from OSX format this unallocated free space in HFS.
You can start with OS X or Windows, either one. Just remember, the first partition will be faster, as it's the outer tracks on the drives. So I'd use that where performance is more critical (there's a performance hit using the inner tracks, so be aware of this as well).
What is the most accurate temp reading software out for the Mac anywhere? Like RealTemp on the PC gives very accurate reads.
iStat was recommended to me on these forums, though I don't have much confidence in it.
I stopped using a Mac back in but iStat was good back then. Not certain if this is the case, but Apple still uses thermal sensors, and would presume that it's still accurate (under the impression it reads these rather than the CPU diodes).
As lazy as I am think I am going to remount. However the way the temperature rises does not feel like it's the CPU making poor contact.
It's like for 3 minutes during prime95 test the CPU temp difference will be in 5-6 degree range, then very slowly the CPU A starts climbing up.
Might be worth it.
Thinking at bit more, you could have a couple of issues:

Yeah, Office will stay. They said they are committed for at least 5 more years. Office is probably the only Mac software they develop and actually make a decent profit on.
The MBU is one of the more profitable parts of Microsoft, and they want to keep it for the money, for the leverage on Apple, and to avoid the immediate anti-trust lawsuit they'd face if they refused to support OSX.
There's lots of benefits to keeping the MBU alive and lots of downsides to killing it out of spite.
VPC was never really part of the MBU.

Yea, I suspect the power supply also. It disappears when I unplug it totally (no Gremlins ;-)). It strangely also disappears when I turn it on. I was just wondering if anyone else had this noise? If I am the only one, then I will call Apple abut it.

I'll try that. But I assume that will work since my kids computer is getting internet. I can't imagine that both my TC and AE are both screwed up but it appears that my modem is working correctly and all my cables are okay since I can get internet on the kids computer that is directly connected to the ethernet. I guess it is possible that I have had a power surge or something that has fired both WAN ports on the TC and AE at the same time. That would be some really bad luck. I may try calling Apple. I have found others that have this issue all over the net but no fix ever talked about. I'm frustrated and lost. Thanks for helping. I'll let you know what I find out.

You will be constrained by the through-put of USB with an external drive VM.
That said, you could put a VM instance on an external drive and run it from there.
Alternately just store the VM on the external, and move it to the SSD when you need it.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate on a 9 gig VM using 512K of memory...so you may not need as much SSD space as you think.
Of course, gaming will change this pretty fast.

One other issue - I was importing some Nirvana songs, and the song and album titles were not coming up correctly as they were being imported. It would say "Track 01" instead of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Nirvana is pretty common, and even though their albums are from the early 90's, I would expect iTunes to recognize the songs.

They still make a profit from the sales of eMacs. Even if they cut the price a bit and just broke even they would still make money off of peripherals, software, and future computer sales. Why not pursue market share aggressively?

The real deal on resolution independance, is that instead of the UI being made up of images, PDFs I believe, it will be drawn using vectors. so a OS can scale anything to any size, and it will never become pixalized, because it's being drawn fresh using math instead of images.

No problem. I have windows 7 installed on my MacBook Pro. In the weekend I'll boot to windows and figure out a window solution.
I made a new connection in windows 7 for a VPN, the vpn worked fine but didn't work for optimum app for live tv, if you have a solution for windows that would be great :)

I wonder what the battery life is going to be like on this beast. It's going to scratch like mad unless they've got a new material for the front surface. And because it's all touch sensitive, no hard plastic cases.

I went to the Apple Store today to get my iPhone 4 replaced due to a yellow screen issue. I showed it to a employee at the Genius Bar. I had a password set and forgot to unlock it for her. The lady didn't ask me for my password, she just simply typed in a 4 digit number. The number went "95??" I didn't see the last two digits. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Anyone want to try and figure out what the passcode is

Since the table layouts were pulled and the page is now heavy with CSS, iCab no longer renders Macrumors correctly. Specifically, the sidebars both get rendered at the bottom of the page, below the main content zone.
Please note, this is not a complaint! The advertisements in the sidebars were distracting, it's nice to only see the top banner now, go right to the stories. :)

I say air but I'm crazy over mine. It allows me to take all my stuff everywhere I go, and it's light weight. If I want to play games or need a big screen for computer drafting, I just use an external monitor.
I was in engineering school so we done a lot of group work at school. The air allow me to take all my work plus software needed for school. Yes, you can use dropbox for files but not programs.
For me, portability was a must. However, your needs may be different than mine. Your asked for opinions, so I vote for the air.

Right, I also use a Yahoo account as a dummy and don't have problems with it. I only go there every few months or so and delete everything.
