For a start, I looked out of the window and discovered that since I was ill, the daffodils have flowered and gone over without me noticing... seems a shame.
The other thing about the garden is it looks like there could be some soldiers hiding in the grass, who don't realise the second world war is over, and will jump out with bayonets if I venture out there....
Maybe I exaggerate slightly.
Then I noticed yesterday that the 'Rinse Aid' in the dishwasher had run out, and I distinctly remember just filling it up recently...
Spooky!
Also, last night all three boys couldn't complete their homework because both the colour and the black and white cartridges had run out in both printers... *bad mummy*.
And why can't my boys see through their fringes any more - wasn't it only yesterday that I dragged them all to the barber's in Bicester?
Better check the kids 'Parent Pay' for their school lunches..... Oooops - overdrawn - how did that happen? *bad parent guilt*
Boy's sheets look a bit grubby - wonder when they last got washed.. ah that would be before I got ill - two months ago... wail - what sort of parent am I? Has it really been 2 months since I washed my own sheets? No - managed that one - especially after the fever... *more parent guilt*.
And my own hair - it is seriously long... and my eyebrows seem to have become twice as thick - no bad thing though, started plucking them in the 80's when the fashion was to have uber thin eyebrows! Mind you, there are an alarming number of white ones... where are the tweezers..?
And another thing - last time I ventured out it kept threatening to snow - now it seems like it is summer....
Wonder what my Google calendar says - eeeek... meetings I need to send my apologies for! I wonder how many meetings I have missed without sending apologies???? And how many birthdays have I missed without sending cards....??? Rats - lots.
What else had I better check? Bank account - mmm... good - seems like being ill saves money!
Scales.. mmm... not bad - seems like being ill makes you lose weight!
