The Quantam of Solace « Peace and Connectivity – Stilfantasy

Diving straight into action, the movie takes us as audience members directly into a scene of fast car chases and fast gun fighting. Looking at the movie would would expect the movie to be a James Bond movie of course in which there would be fighting and globalization, but something if different about this one. It doesn't seem much like a classic James Bond movie, and doesnt really seem to have the same feeling as it is prequal Casino Royale. Of course to realize as Robert has realized in his review, James bond is not a action hero. He is more of an attitude adopted in order to project his personality among the story. Yet it is action packed and hardly do we see the need for some of the things that are actually going on

What strikes me about this new one is its relation to the one that we watched earlier. Having watched "You only live twice" we can see the resemblance in the the evil organization known as QUANTUM, which is straight from the idea that there exists an exterior evil force, an international terrorist organization. I find that this is done to relax growing tensions among nations. It is a movie to entertain yet be relatable overseas and across the globe. Who would better be an enemy to all than a force that is outside out hands. It creates less tension and can be seen to build better relations.

Overall the movie set a tone for things to think about. Especially why Bond was in Bolivia. I enjoyed the film but still expect to see more dynamics in Bond films, if there were ever to be more of them. Hmm, just one thing that still bothers me is that as Bond in Quantum of Solace, this is the first time that he doesn't sleep with one of the female protagonist. WOW.
