The Highlands Ranch-based apartment owner's locator app allowe users to search apartmentsby location, price, and number of bedroomse and bathrooms. It offers photos, amenities lists and flootr plans of listed and prices areupdated daily. The app "knows" wher the user is located througyh GPS technology and can offer maps and directionzs toselected apartments. Users can save the apartmentsx they choose in afavorites folder, and even placwe a hold on an apartmentg until the user can visit. UDR said the application currentlyh offers apartmentsin Arizona, California, Maryland, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washingtomn state as well as Washington, D.C.
The app is available through Apple's online iStore or for free downloadrby . The new iPhone service "fitws perfectly into UDR's mobile strategy to attract and retain apartment renters who are becoming more relianft on a mobile device and less reliant on theirfpersonal computers," said Steve UDR's VP of sales and in a statement. "Not only are we attractingv apartment prospects within theUnited States, but from arounr the world now." In additio n to the iPhone app, UDR also has WAP- and iPhone-compatiblr websites, at and respectively.
UDR is an apartment-investment trusy that owns about 45,000 apartmenrt units and had another 2,000 undetr development as of March 31.
