PURPOSE OF TEARS
Tears are usually considered the effective weapon of women by which they can achieve any of their objectives. But basically tears clean the eyes and remove the dirt or any external particle in it. Tears produce in lacrimal glands and come out through ducts on the surface of eyes. Lacrimal glands are found on the back of eyes and when we blink our eyes, tears come out. It is very interesting to know that the surface of our eyes always remain moist. When the tears increase beneath the eyes, they can’t stop themselves and flow on our cheeks. Tears are made up of water, mucin, lipocalin, glucose, urea, sodium and potassium. Tears also protect eyes from different bacteria that can harm the eyes. Tears make three coatings. Each coating performs 3 different jobs.
1. Outer layer forms a barrier to slow down evaporation and stops the tears to come out of eyes.
2. Middle layer fights against bacteria and germs.
3. The inner layer protects cornea.
